Mark Morris was born in Carmarthen. He studied at the University of Wales, Cardiff where he achieved a degree in Mathematics in 1991. After a postgraduate course at Cyncoed Institute of Higher Education he taught at a comprehensive school in Mid Wales before returning to his native Carmarthen where he now teaches at a local comprehensive school.

Following a successful debut solo exhibition at the King Street Gallery in September 2008, Mark then undertook a second exhibition at the King Street in March 2009. The gallery also permanently exhibits a smaller number of pieces, some of which can be seen in the Gallery.

In June 2009, Mark was selected to exhibit at the Kooywood Gallery in Cardiff where his work can be seen today. In January 2010 his work was selected for exhibition at The White Lion Gallery (Art Matters) in Tenby with a invite for a solo exhibition following in 2011.
